1.
Humanities & sciences department came on to being with in the starting of the college MRITS.in 2005

2. It promotes the language proficiency of the students with emphasis on improving their LSRW skills.

3. It imports training to the students through the syllabus and it’s theoretical and practical components.

4. It helps the students to improve communication skills in formal and informal situations.

5. We have ELCS lab with 31 systems which enables the students to learn and improve the pronunciation, accent, stress and intonation.

6. The language lab focuses computer-aided multimedia instruction and language acquisition to achieve the following targets.

  (i) It trains them to use language effectively to face interviews, group discussions, public speaking etc.

(ii) To initiate them in to greater use of computer in resume preparation, report writing, format making etc.

(iii) To help them to guide them up their confidence,to develop leadershipqualities through communicative competence.

Applied Physics:

1. Physics is the subject of understanding the nature and universe. It is not only the subject that satisfies the human curiosity but also the basis and driving force for the technology.

2. The modern approach to the traditional branch of science, known as properties of matter.solid state physics forms the inner core of all modern scientific and engineering knowledge.

3. In Applied physics, students are going to gain knowledge of Bonding in solids, crystal structures, crystal planes and X-ray diffraction, defects in solids, principles of Quantum Mechanics,Dielectric &Magnetic properties, super conductivity lasers and Fiber optics.

Mathematics:

Mathematics is an engineering tool box,to model real world problem we need mathematics.what an engineer does is modeling. In this course there are two papers one mathamatics-I and mathematical methods.

Mathematics-I deals about classical mathematicswhich need to develop analyzation in mathematics. In this paper students will learn sequences-series and applicastions of continuous functions, functions of several variables formulas and solutions of differential equations with applications.laplace transformation and vector calculus. Mathematical methods deals with computational techniques.matrices theory.fourier series ,fourier transforms and partial differential equations.
